Young leader from Climate addressing Scottish Parliament
Today, Ibnu Najib, one member of Climate Cool, will be addressing the Scottish Parliament's Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee on the new Climate Change bill passing through the Scottish Parliament. The session is called 'Scotland and Climate Change - Getting it Right'.

Scorched Earth - The signs of accelerating man-made global warming are all around the Asia-Pacific region
The devastating bush fires in Australia, severe drought in China and the spread of haze pollution in Indonesia in recent days are linked by a common underlying trend - temperature rise in the Asia-Pacific region and other parts of the world. They are an unwelcome reminder to policymakers preoccupied with the global financial and economic crisis that climate change is striking now and will strike much harder in future if not tackled effectively by the international community.

Day 11 of the COP 14 (By Khairun)
I'm skipping ahead a week because things have been crazy busy and I haven't the time to write.
We ran a passive action in the morning at the entrance where all the delegates pass to get in. We dressed up as penguins and polar bears and carried signs saying "I'm tired of dressing up as a polar bear" in support of a quick decision for a post-Kyoto agreement. I was a little penguin.

I have been nominated as a delegate to represent my generation at the One Young World Summit. This is the largest youth leadership summit in the world. Because I have proven myself as a young leader I will be travelling to London in February 2010 to discuss 6 key issues with 1499 other young leaders from across the world. The organizers are aiming to have every country represented, proportional to population. I am proud to be representing Indonesia.
The One Young World Summit will be a platform for the brightest and best of the next generation of world leaders to make their voices heard on a global stage. Kofi Annan, Desmond Tutu and Bob Geldof are just three of the counselors who will be running the sessions. Resolutions will be created in six key areas: the environment, politics, business, religion, healthcare and the media and will act as a youth response to conferences such as Copenhagen.
One Young World is 100% not for profit. We are all required to raise €3000 to cover the costs of travel, accommodation and the event itself. I was wondering whether Supriadi would be able to assist my fundraising efforts and support this initiative.

Ignasius Kendal SR said… - just trying to make a little contribution here,we make a project called "greenclub project",a campaign and education for early childhood about adopt climate change,in few elementary school in Yogyakarta city-Indonesia. If any workshop or materials campaign/education about that,will be good?
Also,we now developing methods "education global citizenship" for adopt climate change,but we still searching how in implementation of that idea will be very easy for children...hehehehehe
